Job Opportunity

We are currently seeking a CNA to help care for our clients at Imperial Manor in Imperial, California.

Duties

  • Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, the CNA provides nursing care in a 24-hour skilled nursing facility for the mentally disabled.
  • Adheres to Facility and Volunteers of America's Policies and Procedures.
  • Provides a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
  • Assists patients to ensure their cleanliness, grooming, nourishment, rest, activity and elimination in a manner conducive to the patients' comfort and safety.
  • Preserves the patients' dignity and self-respect at all times.
  • Practices confidentiality regarding the patients and nursing care activities.
  • Promotes nursing care as directed and instructed by individual patient's physicians.
  • Keeps alert to the patient's condition and reports changes in the patient's attitude, appearance, behavior and physical ability to the Charge Nurse.
  • Performs selected nursing procedures as assigned and instructed by the Charge Nurse.
  • Practices conservation of equipment and supplies, keeping them clean and ready for use.  Reports any equipment and supply needs to the Charge Nurse.
  • Promptly answers call signals.
  • Transports patients as needed throughout the facility.
  • Assists patients in their recreational and social activities as needed.
  • Recognizes and respects the individual emotional, social and cultural needs of patients, including their religious beliefs.
  • Attends orientation, mandatory training and In-Service Training meetings as required.
  • Records pertinent information about the patients according to Policy and Procedure.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

 

Qualifications

  • Must be currently licensed as a C.N.A. in California.
  • Must have 0-3 years of experience providing direct nursing care in a long-term health care setting. 
  • Valid California Driver's License
  • Food Handler's Card
