Job Opportunity:

Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of the entire Palomar Apartments property, under the direct supervision of the Community Administrator.


  1. Enters occupied apartments to perform necessary work orders, as required.
  2. Performs daily cleaning of property, clubhouse and units, including vacuuming and dusting, as needed.
  3. Complete all duties regarding make-ready/vacant units including repairing and cleaning of the following:        (Appliances, Windows, Floors, Bathroom Fixtures, Cabinets, Light Fixtures inside and outside outlets, entry doors, Drapery Rods, Patio/Balcony, etc.)
  4. Make regular inspection of grounds, buildings, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances and major equipment such as water heaters, gas lines, etc.
  5. Maintain all painting equipment and supplies to help ensure the property is looking its best at all times.
  6. Advise supervisor of work in progress as well as work that needs to be done.
  7. Assist in maintaining inventory of tools, equipment and supplies.
  8. May be responsible for grounds maintenance to include mowing, fertilization and watering of lawn as requested.
  9. Follows company procedures regarding safety and emergencies
  10. Assist with other projects as assigned by Community Administrator.


  1. Experience in general maintenance to include: heating, electrical and plumbing equipment, building interior and exterior painting and carpentry.
  2. High School diploma or G.E.D.
  3. Must be able to communicate effectively. (Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus)
  4. Must be capable of using extension ladder to access roof and windows to make repairs as needed. Also to be able to paint interior and exterior walls and ceilings.
  5. Must be able to perform emergency maintenance as requested (even if on a Saturday, Sunday or Holidays).
  6. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. for different projects.
