Job Opportunity:

We are seeking candidates for a Full-time Supervising Case Manager responsible for the coordination and monitoring of a variety of services to meet the complex and competing needs of very low income Veteran Families.  This includes developing and implementing client-defined, goal-oriented service plans, assessing the needs of referred households, providing support and education and utilizing VA and commmunity resources. The Supervising Case Manger will be responsible for the direct oversight of Supportive Services for Veteran Families staff including supervising daily activities, monitoring progress towards goals, evaluating documentation and ensuring the program is in compliance with regularotry obligations.

Job Qualifications:

  1. Master's Degree in social services or related discipline.
  2. Three years of experience in case management or similar position working with veterance and/or other homeless populations.
  3. Previous supervision experience helpful including creating staff schedules and conducting training and meetings.
  4. Ability to pass fingerprint and criminal investigation screening.
  5. Must have valid driver's license 
  6. Must obtain TB and health screening.
  7. Knowwledge of programs criteria and applicable community resources.
  8. Demonstrated ability to apply independent judgment in critical situation involving Veterans and their families.
  9. Bilingual in English and Spanish helpful
  10. Proficient in Microsoft Applications
  11. Demonstrated ability to build rapport and gain trust with diverse individuals.
  12. Working knowledge of community resources in San Diego County.
  13. Knowledge of VA and mainstream resources
  14. Ability to build and maintain partnerships with community providers.
