Volunteers of America's Fontana Early Learning Center is seeking to hire a full-time Preschool Teacher to teach our students to become the very best individuals through center-based and home-based service options for children from age 3 to age 4. Salary will depend on qualifications. Our teachers enjoy an exciting, always changing environment with great students. A Day in the Life as a Teacher:

As a Teacher at Fontana Early Learning Center, you not only provide a well-rounded general education, you also play a vital role in setting a solid foundation for students' future academic success. You prepare through long-range and daily lesson plans to engage the children and spark their passion for learning. Every day, you enjoy teaching and managing a classroom of students.

Your excellent interpersonal skills assist you as you interact with parents, staff, and other essential partners in the education of your students. You set up and facilitate parent-teacher conferences to encourage parents to take part in their child's education. The most rewarding part of your job is being able to make a difference in the lives of the children you teach by igniting their curiosity and growth.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Development or related field
  • 6 units in Infant Toddler
  • Child Development Associate permit or higher
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to pass a fingerprint and criminal background check
  • Ability to pass TB test and health screening
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Must be computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office 2000
  • Bilingual in Spanish is helpful
